In September 2015, thousands of refugees arrived in Munich. An alliance of multiple organizations and political parties stood together to give those a voice who had just left everything behind. Greta Vorwerk will talk about the challenges this young alliance faced and the projects worked on.

Greta Vorwerg was committed to beginning a dialogue between refugees and local politicians during the events of fall 2015 in Munich. At that time she was studying geography at the University of Munich (LMU) and now works for a company that provides sustainable mobility solutions in Europe.

Conversations in Germany: Join us during Fall Semester for a series of conversations with German students and professors who will share their perspectives on life, culture and politics in contemporary Germany. Our speakers will provide 20 minutes of introductory remarks and then open the floor for discussion. How do Germans view sustainability, LGBTQ rights, US politics and immigration issues?
